WELCOME ADDRESS

Dear Congress Delegate,

We are delighted to welcome you on behalf of ESASO’s Executive Board to the 10th AMD and Retina Congress in Lugano on 29-30 October 2010.

As in previous Congresses, our Scientific Committee has engaged distinguished speakers from all across the world to guarantee a state-of-the-art scientific programme:

  • 16 Plenary Sessions
  • 3 Panel Discussions
  • 3 Practical Sessions
  • 16 Case Studies
  • 4 Meet-the-Expert Sessions
  • Poster exhibition
  • ESASO Graduation Ceremony

Our Organising Committee has compiled a complete social programme to provide you not only with enjoyable entertainment but also with a profound insight into the history and culture of Switzerland.

The congress venue seduces not only with a magnificent view on the lake, but also offers good facilities for delegates and speakers. Close to the congress centre, a wide range of hotels offer modern or traditional accommodation.

You will find Lugano a charming and interesting city that combines the southern lifestyle of Switzerland with an Italian touch. When not attending the congress, there are numerous opportunities for cultural, educational and sporting interests. Ticino’s Cuisine and its gastronomic reputation is well known in Switzerland.

We are confident that the Lugano Congress, with its highly informative Scientific Programme and an expanded programme of recreational experiences, continues to build upon the quality that ESASO have established during previous congresses.

We look forward to welcoming you to Lugano in late October 2010!

With our best regards,
Yours
